Kansas City Ride Of Silence

The Kansas City community is invited to join the 12th annual Kansas City Ride of Silence.  Kansas City riders will join cyclists across the globe in taking to the roads in a slow, silent procession to honor those who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.

Although cyclists have a legal right to ride on public streets and roads, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes unaware of the cyclists themselves. The Ride of Silence is a free event that asks its cyclists to remain silent. Held during National Bike Month, it aims to raise awareness of motorists, police, and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways.
