Ride Schedule

Green

Focus on developing your fitness and riding skills while training to complete a 40 mile group ride. You will learn how to ride safe & confidently on the road in a group as well as basics like when to shift, how to best ride in hilly conditions, tire repair, simple bike maintenance and more individual riding and safety skills.

Although it requires commitment, you'll be training in a supportive & relaxed group environment with experienced leaders. To start, RiDErs must be able to ride and control their bike and maintain a minimum average pace of at least 10 mph for a one hour ride on rolling terrain at the classification ride.

Road or hybrid bike and helmet are required. Ride Program FAQ 2022

Blue

Blue RiDE is all about advanced group riding skills. You'll develop those skills while training for a metric century (62 miles). RiDErs need basic familiarity with shifting and braking systems of their road bike and the fitness ability to complete a 25+ mile ride with 1 or 2 rest stops on week one of Blue RiDE… so you must start with a base of fitness and some endurance.

Ongoing attendance of scheduled RiDEs and mid-week training will be strongly encouraged, and required in some case.

We form small groups depending on need and speed. You will have a team that helps you learn advanced group skills. These skills are also great for the stronger solo rider or triathlete.

Attendance required at 5 of the 7 rides. Participation early in the program rides will assure you learn the skills that you will perfect over the remainder of the program.

8:00 am Ride Start is subject to change to 7:00 due to extremely hot weather. Some groups may choose a 7:30 start on longer distances.

Sunday will be makeup day if inclement weather cancels Saturday ride. We have a clear severe weather policy to help our RiDErs stay safe, but we ride in ever-increasing temperatures/heat, occasional strong winds, and may even encounter unexpected rain. RiDErs should be prepared for this physically and mentally.
