Blue RiDE is all about advanced group riding skills. You'll develop those skills while training for a metric century (62 miles). RiDErs need basic familiarity with shifting and braking systems of their road bike and the fitness ability to complete a 25+ mile ride with 1 or 2 rest stops on week one of Blue RiDE… so you must start with a base of fitness and some endurance.
Ongoing attendance of scheduled RiDEs and mid-week training will be strongly encouraged, and required in some case.
We have a clear severe weather policy to help our RiDErs stay safe, but we ride in ever-increasing temperatures/heat, occasional strong winds, and may even encounter unexpected rain. RiDErs should be prepared for this physically and mentally.
We form small groups depending on need and speed. You will have a team that helps you learn advanced group skills.These skills are also great for the stronger solo rider or triathlete.
